A major UK high street retailer wishing to commence operations in Ireland decided to seek advice on the new marketplace in advance of commencing the project. They were particularly keen to gain an understanding of Human Resource practice and legislative climate as well as understanding potential cultural differences.

Invisio was asked to act in a consulting capacity on these key issues and to provide the localised knowledge. In an interesting process many of the practices of the company, particularly in relation to Human Resources policy, were adapted to be more suitable to the Irish environment. Using Invisio as a ‘sounding board’ for their plans for the new market, adaptations were also made to customer communications and marketing.

The company attributes much of the smooth, trouble free start to trading in Ireland to its willingness to consider carefully the new environment in advance and to using Invisio as its consultants for this important process.
